Why Join FCPO? - A Personal Testimony

In 1968, I first met Bangor, Maine Police Officer R. Bruce Boyd. As our friendship grew, we kept in contact after I joined the United States Air Force. In 1975, Bruce introduced me to the early beginnings of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers. As a member of the USAF Security Police, I submitted a membership request and I have received the newsletters ever since. Because of the many military moves I didn't have a chance to join a chapter until I retired in 1993 and found Chapter #187 in Maine. In the years since its founding, they have spread the Gospel to every department willing to listen. Shortly after I joined, FCPO Chapter 187 added the name, "Maine Criminal Justice for Christ" and had a logo designed to give out to its members and future members.

On the second Saturday of each month (barring any heavy snowstorms), the chapter meets for breakfast at 8 AM, then after the meal and fellowship, we address any business and spend time in Bible study and prayer. I miss the times when I can't make it due to weather and pastoring but the fellowship is sweet and spirit strengthening.
