A man went to church. He forgot to silence his cellphone, which rang in the service during prayer time.
The pastor scolded him, as did the other worshippers after service for interrupting the silence. His wife lectured him all the way home on his carelessness. One could see the shame, embarrassment and humiliation on his face.
He never set foot in the church again.
Later that evening, he went to a bar. He was still nervous and trembling and accidentally spilled his drink on the table and in the floor.
The waiter apologized for the problem and gave him a napkin to clean himself. The janitor mopped the floor. The female manager offered him a complimentary drink. She also gave him a huge hug and a peck and said, "Don't worry! Who doesn't make mistakes?"
He is still one of the bar's regular customers.
Lesson: Sometimes, our attitude as believers drives souls away from God. You can make a difference by how you treat people, especially when they make mistakes.
