Charles (Chuck) Urgo named Board Member Emeritus

On April 30, the National Board of Directors of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA gathered in Chattanooga, TN for a 3 day series of board meetings. At a dinner held at downtown Chattanooga’s historic Read House, Charles (Chuck) Urgo was recognized for his many years of service to the ministry of FCPO.



A resolution was unanimously approved by the National Board appointing Chuck as FCPO-USA National Board Member Emeritus. Chuck was presented with a framed copy of the resolution, along with an engraved clock marking the occasion.


The resolution reads as follows:


WHEREAS, in special recognition of forty-six years of distinguished service to the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA (FCPO-USA) and to his local chapter, FCPO-USA wishes to acknowledge Charles "Chuck" Urgo by appointing him as FCPO-USA National Board Member Emeritus.


WHEREAS, "Chuck" was instrumental in 1977 with the organizing and chartering of the Chicagoland Chapter 26 and


WHEREAS, "Chuck" served the Chicagoland Chapter 26 in many areas including Chapter Chairman, historian and photographer and


WHEREAS, "Chuck" has served on the FCPO-USA 's National Board of Directors since 2002 as board member, treasurer, secretary, vice president, president and photographer and


WHEREAS, "Chuck" is deeply devoted to Jesus Christ, his wife Carol and to their children and grandchildren;


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the FCPO-USA National Board of Directors that it approves the appointment of Charles "Chuck" Urgo as National Board Member Emeritus of the FCPO-USA National Board Of Directors this the 30th day of April 2023.


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Board herein extends its deepest appreciation to Charles "Chuck" Urgo for his dedication and service to FCPO-USA and the men and women of law enforcement.


BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution is spread upon the permanent minutes of this Board and that copies are given to Charles "Chuck" Urgo to share with members of his family and friends.


Congratulations, Chuck, on this well-deserved honor and recognition and thank you for your past and continued dedication and service to the ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA.
