On Saturday, April 13th, the 249th Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Peace Officers-USA was officially chartered in Athens, Georgia.
Chapter members and their families gathered at Beech Haven Baptist Church for a time of fellowship and encouragement. Before the chartering event, FCPO-USA Executive Director Paul Lee led a brief training session for chapter leaders.
Lunch, desserts, fruit, and refreshments were provided for the group to enjoy, after which the meeting began with a time of worship in song. Detective Charles Ivey of the Athens-Clarke County PD led in a short devotional, after which Executive Director Paul Lee spoke to the gathering and presented charter certificates to each founding member of the chapter. Communications Specialist Steve Rogers, from the National Office, was also in attendance.
After closing remarks from Chapter Chairman Tony Kincaid, an informal time of fellowship followed, including a group photo.
Paul and Steve would like to thank the members of the Athens/Clarke County FCPO for their hospitality, their dedication to serving their community, and their commitment to sharing Christ with those around them. We look forward to seeing how God is going to use you all for His glory!
